From the start, frontman Nick Swettenham originally began writing “Letters” as a reflection of modern consumption. As the song evolved, he found himself drawing on more personal experiences, with memories of his grandmother’s battle with dementia and mental health influencing a subtle lyrical change in the second chorus.
